The patterns, designs, and baby pink color are so fun! We designed this sweater with a hole on the back so you can put your dog's harness on under the sweater and then clip the leash to the harness through the hole.
This is the perfect sweater for walking your dog or taking him/her with you around town. We make doggie sweaters out of alpaca because it is considered a luxury fiber. It is the closest fiber to human hair, it has no lanolin, making it hypoallergenic, and it is hollow like our hair, giving it the ability to regulate heat. When it is warm outside, it won't heat up your dog, but when the temperature drops, it triggers the alpaca to warm up. We love this because if you go from the cold outside to warm inside (maybe a store), you are not forced to take off the jacket and put it back on over and over. Plus, the way we knit the sweater, with ribbed knitting on the chest, it stretches nicely. This not only makes it super easy to put on but also beautifully form-fits around bigger-chested dogs like Dachshunds or Frenchies.
When it comes to alpaca, it is important to know that there are different qualities. The first two haircuts our alpacas get are called baby alpaca, and for the next 18 years, it is considered adult alpaca. Our sweaters are made with beautiful baby alpaca for the ultimate softness in doggy sweaters.
The sizes are determined by the measurement around the neck (circumference) and the measurement around the chest, right behind the front legs.
